At first glance the alchemy of raw materials, mineral rock and rigorous concrete are palpable as they harmonize with the warmth and the nobility of wood and give birth to this unique and spectacular villa located in Pointe Milou. It took nearly two years for a team of stone cutters to complete this innovative architectural prowess. Walls and walls of chiselled stone and here and there a carefully positioned stone is placed deliberately to stand out from the others.
This exemplary villa is the result of meticulous attention to detail and modernity, but also at the same time simplicity, refined elegance and luxurious comfort.
The kitchen made from concrete, stainless steel and dark wood is reminiscent of a boat with its 270° view, integrating so completely into the living room that it seems to disappear. The white living room is lit up by two transparent Kartell lamps and lighting from the Design Within Reach collection. The masterful architecture continues by marrying stone and wood in the bedrooms and bathrooms where the tiles are amazing tones of copper. The furniture is elegant and rare, like the inlaid bamboo table in the living room and the chests of drawers adorned with pen-shells in the bedrooms that are truly works of art. Not to mention the remarkable collection of Asian antiques originating from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing and Bali.
The white interior living area opens onto a vast 300 m2 teak deck dotted with stone walls that support large metal structures topped with grey canvas awnings that seem to balance while enhancing their great volume. A huge outdoor living space includes furniture from the Del Greco Collection and leads directly on to the crescent shaped 33m mirror-like Indonesian black volcanic stone pool which faces the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. A great sense of fullness radiates from the views and this universe, evoking the rare feeling of blissful total solitude. The sunsets with views over the distant islets and the islands of St. Martin and Anguilla are simply magical. In a garden where a custom-made billiard table adorns the green lawn, under the benevolent eye of a large Buddha, an outside bathroom in the shape of a nautilus shell completes the setting.
