Description
Villa Arawak provides a three-bedroom retreat in Pointe Milou, defined by its exceptional sunset views and seamless indoor-outdoor living. The property includes a private pool, three en-suite bedrooms with ocean vistas, and a fully equipped kitchen. This is a practical, amenity-led villa for small groups or families seeking a comfortable base with a reliable western exposure for evening light.
Your stay centers around the outdoor terrace and its 9.8 by 26.2-foot swimming pool, which is not heated. Lounge chairs are arranged for sunbathing with the ocean as your backdrop. A sleek wooden pergola covers part of the terrace, casting dappled shadows across the light travertine floor and offering a shady refuge with additional seating. The terrace fully surrounds the pool and faces west, directly aligning with the sunset over the bays of Lorient and St. Jean. A charcoal barbecue on the back terrace facilitates easy outdoor meals. The entire space is designed for that daily ritual of watching the sky change color from the comfort of your villa. Step inside through large sliding glass doors that open the living room completely to the terrace and the view.
The space is defined by high, vaulted ceilings with exposed white wooden beams, creating an airy volume. A pair of plush gray sofas, adorned with vibrant tropical-patterned cushions, face the ocean and can double as daybeds. The room is equipped with a fan, and entertainment options include Dish Network, French Satellite, and a portable Bluetooth speaker. Light floods across the bright travertine floors from the wall of glass. Flowing directly from the living area is the dining space, marked by a sleek black table paired with warm wooden chairs, accommodating up to eight guests. The open-plan design visually connects all the social areas. The kitchen is positioned at the rear of the living area, offering a practical and well-equipped space for meal preparation. It includes a microwave, a coffee machine, an espresso machine, a toaster, a blender, a dishwasher, and a Nespresso machine. The kitchen connects functionally to a separate back patio, bordered by flowering bougainvillea, which offers an alternative spot for al-fresco dining away from the main pool terrace.
This layout provides flexibility, whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast or a full dinner to enjoy with the sunset. The villa accommodates four guests in three bedrooms, each with air conditioning, a fan, a safe, a TV, and a private en-suite bathroom with a shower. Every room enjoys an ocean view and direct access to the outdoors.
Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 are nearly identical, situated on either side of the main living pavilion. They each offer a queen-size bed or two twin beds, configured as 5.91 by 6.56 feet, providing flexibility for friends or children. These rooms feature ocean views, and each includes a mini-fridge for convenience. The en-suite bathrooms combine modern vessel sinks with rich, dark wood vanities. Bedroom 1 also includes a desk, making it a slightly more versatile space. Both rooms offer seclusion while remaining just steps from the central living area. Bedroom 3 is located in a separate bungalow, offering enhanced privacy.
It features a queen-size bed measuring 2.91 by 6.56 feet. This room also includes a mini-fridge and opens onto its own terrace area with seating. The architectural style here includes exposed beams, and the en-suite bathroom continues the theme of dark wood vanities and warm-toned tile. Its position in a separate structure makes it a prime retreat, often considered the primary suite, where you can enjoy private moments with the same panoramic ocean vista that defines the villa. Villa Arawak is situated on the hillside in the Pointe Milou area. The location on the western side of the point guarantees a view of the ocean, the bays of Lorient and St. Jean, and the surrounding islands, with sunsets available year-round. The villa is approximately a 10 to 20-minute drive from Gustaf III Airport, and a 4x4 vehicle is not required for access. While the villa does not have direct beach access, the popular Lorient Beach is only about a five-minute drive away, and the boutiques and restaurants of St.
Jean are roughly ten minutes by car. The property is positioned above the Christopher Hotel, ensuring an unobstructed perspective.
